Tessa Axsom has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, with nearly 10 years of experience in Engineering. She has a vast array of experience ranging from Quality Management to Metallurgy to Design Engineering and Technical Writing. Some areas of expertise include quality audit preparation, process improvement, design for brazing and brazing process support, failure analysis, aerospace documentation, aerospace design, maintenance planning, plant layouts and general optimization. Tessa is passionate about quality and safety and puts her heart into every project she works on.

Jeff Love

Degreed Mechanical Engineer (Non-PE)

Jeff Love has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, over 10 years of experience in many engineering disciplines, including design, Product Engineering, CAD, Technical Support and Communication, Sales, and Technical Training. He spent three years with his family serving as a high school missionary teacher in Haiti, teaching middle and high school math through pre-calculus as well as physics. He also taught a year of English as a 2nd language to 25 Haitians. Jeff is a strong communicator who works hard to provide end results that exceed expectations.

Sam Kim

CA Licensed PE, Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineer

Sam Kim has Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Aeronautical Science and Engineering from the University of California-Davis. He also has a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California-Davis. Sam also holds a professional engineering license in the state of California as a Mechanical Engineer. He has 10+ years of experience in engineering across various engineering sectors. He has worked and has experience in aerospace/military, automotive manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, public utilities, R&D, and architectural/mep. Some areas of expertise include: stress/structural analysis, fea analysis, mechanical design, aerospace design, manufacturing, MEP design, utility engineering, gas pipeline design, process improvement, technical writing, engineering research, and project engineering. Sam is passionate about engineering and puts quality and detail in the projects that he works on.

Ashlie Gharbi

Technical Writer (BSCJ)

Ashlie Gharbi is a technical writer and payroll administrator for Axsom Engineering Consulting. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University-Purdue University and is a stay-at-home mom. She is skillful at taking a myriad of information and transforming it into professional, easy-to-understand material for our client’s audiences. Ashlie also helps our clients advertise tastefully to encourage future customers to seek out their services. Her diversified background supports her in writing for various markets about a broad range of professional subjects. Ashlie takes great pride in creating professional technical documents for our clients.

Evan Sotzing

Degreed Mechanical Engineer Co-op (Non-PE)

Evan Sotzing is a 4th year Engineering Technology student at the University of Cincinnati. He has taken the role of a Manufacturing Engineer working on aerospace/military projects, and welding wire manufacturing. He is certified in NX 12 and has had lots of experience using other 3D modeling software such as Solidworks. He has a vast array of experience when it comes to GD&T, Engineering drawings, military specifications, building layouts, process improvements, welding, and process improvement. Evan loves working as a mechanical engineer and puts his best work into each project.

Lauren McDearmond

Degreed Chemical Engineer

Lauren McDearmond has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Materials Polymer Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She has over 13 years of experience in many engineering disciplines, including 8 years with the Department of Defense. Some areas of expertise include safety and technical writing, ballistics calculations, propellant analysis, DoD engineering and engineering, quality and safety duties for her own family operated business. Along with homeschooling her own children, Lauren is also very active in STEM outreach programs for young students to inspire the future generation of engineers.
